The Rockit Live Foundation is proud to collaborate with RiverJAM Music to offer an exclusive 6-week songwriting curriculum for active Rockit Academy students.

 

Participants will work with experienced professional singer-songwriters (mentors), to develop their artistic voice and craft original music. The RiverJAM songwriting development program covers key elements of songwriting, including lyrics, melody, rhythm, as well as an introduction to copyright and music publishing. Each semester concludes with the opportunity for students to perform their original composition at a Rockit Academy showcase.

About RiverJAM Music

Founded in 2024 by Meredith and Dan Kasun, RiverJAM Music is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Their mission is to foster emerging artists and strengthen the original music community through co‑writing sessions/programs, professional mentorship, recording and production support, and industry connections.

 

Sponsorships

In this program, RiverJAM Music is offering curriculum sponsorships to active Rockit students based on qualifying criteria, covering the cost for songwriting mentorship sessions, as well as preparation for performance at a Rockit concert. This includes mentorship songwriting sessions, ad-hoc recordings for demo purposes, and support in rehearsal for performances. Formal recording and production is not part of the curriculum for this program.
